Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.

WHAT IS D-DANCE?

D-Dance is the first workshop to fuse education in multiple styles of dance with type one diabetes (T1D). Our goal is to support T1D’s who have a passion for dance to continue dancing while facing the challenges T1D can present.

WHAT STYLES OF DANCE DO WE TEACH?

The D-Dance staff come from a variety of dance and fitness backgrounds. This allows us to offer classes in multiple styles of dance. Anything from hip hop, to ballet, to jazz, or pilates could be offered at a workshop depending on the staff attending.

The specific styles to be taught at a D-Dance workshop will be released to registrants closer to the date of the event.

WHO IS D-DANCE FOR?

D-Dance is a dance workshop for everyone. Although having a dance background would help a person to follow along it is not mandatory. It is a workshop devoted to T1D, however, it is NOT mandatory that all participants be diabetic. We welcome siblings or friends of T1D’s to attend as they may learn important information about helping their loved one deal with their diabetes. Come ready to move, discuss diabetes, and make friends.
